Gavrilyuk has more than 14 years’ experience in founding and managing projects in geoscience, mobile money solutions, oil and gas operations, precious minerals mining, sports and fashion. Realizing the urgent need for accessibility, security, transparency and mutually-beneficial decentralized cryptoactivity in finance, Gavrilyuk turned his focus to crypto- and blockchain financial projects. Torsten Hoffmann


Torsten Hoffmann is a producer of documentaries and an adviser to filmmakers. His debut as director has won four international festival awards: "Bitcoin: The End Of Money As We Know It" (2015) went viral on the Internet and was licensed (VOD/TV) to more than 40 territories. He kickstarted and self-funded the project in 2014 when Bitcoin was a fringe phenomenon. The follow-on documentary #CryptopiaFilm will be released in 2019.

Ralf Kubli


Ralf is a Director at CV VC focusing on investment opportunities and advisory in the Blockchain space. He is engaged in tokenizing assets, securities and ICO structuring. Ralf’s goal is to enable easy to use technology delivering on the promise of decentralization on global scale. Prior to joining CV VC, Ralf built the business of an artificial intelligence startup in the USA. In the legacy world, Ralf spent 18 years in the automotive, aerospace, and specialty chemicals in senior management positions. Since 2015, when he discovered blockchain and crypto through an angel investment, he cannot unsee the potential of Distributed Ledger Technologies. After browsing with Gopher and coding HTML in the early days of the web, he returned to tech with AI and Blockchain.

Niklas has a background of more than 15 years as a professional software architect & software developer, primarily in the financial , manufacturing and public sectors. In 2010 after discovering Bitcoin, he became one of the early adaptors, investors and proponents of crypto assets. In 2011 he moved from Denmark to Switzerland and worked for a major Swiss financial institution, as a consultant – until he founded Bitcoin Suisse AG in 2013, together with partners. Jordi Puigneró i Ferrer

Minister of Digital Policies and Public Administration of Catalonia

Mr. Puigneró was born in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) in 1974. He holds a Master’s in Engineering (MENG) in Information Systems from the University of Surrey, UK (1992-1997). His professional career started in the IT department of Deutsche Bank (Frankfurt), where he worked as an analyst/programmer between 1997 and 2001. In 2001, he joined IBM-Barcelona as a senior consultant and head of ICT. At institutional level, beween 2005 and 2013, he worked as councillor of the Sant Cugat City Council, before being appointed as deputy mayor of Governance, Security, Mobility and Technology. During his time at the council, he was a member of the Board of Directors of LocalRet, a Catalan municipal consortium promoting Information and Knowledge Society, from 2007 until 2013. Since November 2013, he is responsible for the Catalan Government’s ICT policy, firstly, as Director General of Telecommunications and Information Society, and secondly, from February 2016 until May 2018, as Secretary for Telecommunications, Cybersecurity and Digital Society of the Government of Catalonia. In June 2018, he was appointed Minister of Digital Policy and Public Administration. As part of his responsibility for cybersecurity policy in Catalonia, he is also Chairman of the Centre for Information Security of Catalonia (CESICAT). His Ministry has been responsible for promoting the first country-wide strategy to promote blockchain technology in public administrations, together with a 5G and an AI strategy.

Charlene Chen


With an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California - Berkeley and a B.S. in Psychology and Computer Science from Duke University, Charlene has 15 years of private sector and social sector experience working with a variety of organizations ranging from startup/scaleups to international non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. She began her career as an IT consultant at Deloitte Consulting, but during business school made a career shift to focus on social entrepreneurship and ICTD (Information and Communication Technologies for Development) in sub-Saharan Africa. Charlene has worked in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Senegal and Gabon.

Dr. Hubert Ritzdorf

Dr. Hubert Ritzdorf earned his PhD from ETH Zurich in 2018. For more than 5 years he conducted research on the security of cloud and blockchain-based services. This included the analysis of existing and proposal of novel protocols. As CTO of ChainSecurity, Hubert supported the audit team and designed new analysis tools for faster and more reliable code reviews. He audited smart contracts of over 50 clients which raised several hundred million dollars with their projects, and in the process has found countless critical vulnerabilities. He was involved in uncovering issues before the Ethereum Constantinople and Istanbul hard forks. Since ChainSecurity has joined PwC Switzerland, he leads the Smart Contract Assurance. Hubert aims make the use of smart contracts as secure as possible. Hence, his work extends beyond the review of smart contracts. He also investigates the underlying execution engines, assists in the development of new analysis tools, and tries to improve the overall understanding through improved education.

Riccardo Spagni

Project Lead,

Riccardo is a member of Monero Core Team, who stewards of the Monero Project, and is also the lead maintainer of the Monero project. With an academic background in informatics and logistics. Ricccardo spent many years in software development, before starting a business in the import/ export industry with his wife. Due to the success of that business, he had enough freedom to start tinkering with Bitcoin early in 2011. In 2012, he became involved in various cryptocurrencyrelated projects, and in 2017 he launched Globee, a multi-currency payment processor. Riccardo and his wife live along the Garden Route on the coast of South Africa, where he spends weekends pack rafting, hanging out with their dogs, building and flying multicopters and playing with LEGO.

Eric Van der Kleij is a technology entrepreneur and CEO of Frontier Network (formerly, an international hub focussed on Blockchain, Fintech & AI. He is Chair of distributed security business, and Chair of in st Moritz, Switzerland. He is Hon. Chairman of the Advisory Group for the UK Government's (DIT) Global Entrepreneur Programme. Prior to this he created and led Level39, one of Europe's largest hubs for Fintech, Cyber & Smart Cities technology companies based on the entire 39th, 42nd and 24th floors at Canary Wharf's One Canada Square. Previously he was the first CEO of the UK Government's Tech City Investment Organisation (now, tasked by the Prime Minister with boosting investment, entrepreneurship and skills in the "Silicon Roundabout" area of East London. He was also the co-founder of FinTech company Adeptra (raised $40M - sold 2012 to NYSE FICO) .
