She advised Banking and Capital Markets groups for 15 major banks and performed investment analytics to support clients with billions of dollars of AUM, including hedge funds, private equity firms, and investment management corporations. Later she co-founded and served as the former COO of US Multidimensional Network Technology Co.Ltd, and oversaw firmwide strategy as the Chief Strategy Officer of Bgogo Digital Asset Exchange.
Ciara Sun is Chief of Staff and Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Huobi Group. She heads the Business Development Group, which is responsible for all overseas business, including listings, partnerships and clients outside of China. She also oversees listings for overseas markets, including the Huobi Global Exchange, Huobi Japan Exchange, Huobi Korea Exchange, and Huobi Cloud Exchanges.

Dominik Widmer has been living and working in China for over 12 years. As Executive Director of SinoSwiss Holding he is handling foreign affairs of the SinoSwiss Technopark (SSTP), Chongqing, China. He has been collecting experiences in supporting numerous B2B market entry and technology incubation projects in China. His unique expertise on assisting foreign companies and start-ups to do business in and with China makes him a valuable resource in providing China micro- and macroeconomics analyses, and in developing investment strategies for China. Besides being Executive Director of Sino-Swiss Holding, he is also Vice-chairman of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China, and the Southwest China representative of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China. He regularly provides expert media commentary and holds lectures on China’s evolving economic system and the economic conditions in Southwest China. He received his BA degree equivalent in economics and information technology from the University of Berne, Switzerland, and his MSc degree in project management from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK.
Mr. Josef Mondl studied Sinology and Economics in Vienna (Austria) and Taipeh
(Taiwan). He holds a Master in Business Management and Sinology from the University
of Vienna and Taiwan University, as well as a Doctor in Business Administration from
SMP St Gallen and Florida Gulf Coast University.
From 1986 to 1990 he worked as Marketing Officer at the Austrian Embassy
Commercial Section Beijing. He was then transferred to the Austrian Embassy
Commercial Section Lagos (Nigeria), where he served as Commercial Attache for
Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone from 1990 to 1993.
After that, he returned to China, where he continued his posting as Commercial
Attache at the Austrian Embassy Commercial Section Beijing until 1998, when he was
called back to Austria.
Early 2001, a leading Swiss Telecom supplier invited Mr. Mondl to head and implement
its transfer and setting up part of its production facilities from Switzerland, the US, and
the UK, to Mainland China. This included strategic localization coordination as well as
transfer of a plating line from Switzerland.
In 2003, Mr. Mondl joined the University of St Gallen to act as Executive Director of the
China Competence Center, while being lecturer on China related topics in various
MBA, EMBA, and other Executive Training Programs. Furthermore, he is a Senior Advisor
of the TAO China Center Switzerland, a company specialized in business consulting,
strategic market development, and organizational competence building.
Mr. Mondl is a frequent guest lecturer on China related issues at various Universities
and Business Schools as well as business organizations in Switzerland and other
European countries, has published different articles on China’s and Asia’s economic
and cultural development, and holds seminars on intercultural and business strategy
topics in China, Switzerland and other countries.
Mr. Mondl provides strategic advice and guidance to various Swiss companies in
market entry and development in China, while at the same time supporting market
entry strategies of Chinese enterprises into Switzerland and Europe.
Mr. Mondl is Austrian Citizen, married since 1986, has a daughter and a son, and enjoys
reading, chess, quantum physics, travelling, sports, and Chinese culture.
Lili Zhao is the Director of Ecosystem Growth at NEO Global Development based out of the Zurich. Prior to joining NEO, Lili worked for Swiss private banks and following that advised a number of blockchain projects internationally. Patrik Wermelinger is responsible to run and evolve Switzerland’s Investment Promotion Mandate at Switzerland Global Enterprise S-GE, the national Trade & Investment Promotion Agency. Together with the Swiss Business Hubs, the Swiss Cantons and Regions, S-GE identifies leading Tech companies and ecosystems in ten countries with the aim to foster Foreign Direct Investments into Switzerland.
